This year Notre Dame took on Army in a nationally televised game at Yankees Stadium in their annual Shamrock Series game. It may have taken almost 18 months from ideation to execution to on field, but it’s incredibly gratifying to see a project you worked on on field.
The brief called for sophisticated execution and elevated detail while still paying homage to the iconic Golden Dome on the campus. Notre Dame wanted to emphasize the metallic shiny gold – which is a symbol of their identity.
The story: commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Four Horsemen, the celebrated backfield from 1942.
The execution: taking inspiration from gothic elements inspired the story of the Four Horsemen against.a “blue-gray October sky” with the ode to the shiny metallic gold and you get this:
